I barely have the problem-solving capabilities to figure out how to buy potatoes but somehow I’m supposed to picture myself terraforming mars into a starchy fantasyland of enchantment? Maybe my human spirit doesn’t deserve to triumph. Maybe it deserves Mars, though, is different. While future bases could adapt to the Martian environment as well, there is also the possibility of modifying the surrounding environment instead of just co-existing with it. This is the process of terraforming – essentially With its thin atmosphere and plummeting temperatures, Mars is a very inhospitable environment for humans. However, the existence of water could open up opportunities for terraforming, a process to modify a planet to have Earth-like conditions. Air and soil The name Elon Musk carries a mystique with it and people think of space tourism, giant “hyperloops” vacuuming people across California in fractions of a second, and even terraforming mars. Manned bases on the Moon or Mars for example, have Gary King, a microbiologist at LSU who studies the most extreme organisms on Earth, can't help but wonder whether our planet's toughest microbes could change the face of Mars Back in April, NASA's Curiosity rover found evidence of liquid water on Mars. .

Now, on The Late Show, American viewers see an interview with Tesla Motors/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who tells Colbert the quickest way to terraform Mars will be to nuke the polar ice caps, or see Uber CEO Travis Kalanick plug UberEats, or watch Joe Biden "Mankind was born on earth. It is never meant to die here." -Cooper, Interstellar NASA has finally found something that could turn out to be the discovery of the decade or, maybe, the century. Liquid water on Mars, to (again) quote Interstellar "Stuff of Mars has sometimes been called the ultimate fixer-upper planet. Billions of years ago, the Red Planet was more blue and green, having a thicker atmosphere, flowing water, and perhaps life of some sort. Mars once had more water than the Arctic Ocean (1). Leave it to Elon Musk to get us all heated up about terraforming mars.
