Movie goers across the country will get the chance to see Matt Damon trek across "Mars" on Friday, Oct. 2 when the highly-anticipated film "The Martian" premiers in theaters nationwide. Unfortunately, Damon is not actually on Mars (obviously). Instead This image looks like it could have been taken out on the sandy slopes of Texas, or one of a hundred different locations on Earth; however, this stunning photo actually comes from another world. As the latest image reveals, the Mars rover Curiosity is a Three billion years ago, however, the situation may have been much different. In 2012 the Mars Curiosity rover beamed images back to Earth containing some of the most concrete evidence that water once flowed in abundance on the planet.
